They like me they really like me

So today I had summited to Northern sun. They are a really cool place for neat products about womens rights and being an American. I had summited this pic to your left this morning at like 10am they had emailed me back the nicest letter that really made me feel like YES I CAN! They loved the work and they are thinking how and where to use the image! I am so happy that I could burst. It shows you that you can do anything that you put your mind to. I am grateful that hard work shows and pays off. Please keep your fingers crossed that they put me in :)

Create Create Create

So with Christmas coming up I have been a busy girl uploading new designs and updating the good 'ol website for people to use. I have also been letting people know that I am on imagekind.com and just got into cafepress.com. I am really excited to get the new designs off the ground and have the world look at them.

I also have been tyring to write my goals for next year when I finish I will post them like the good person I am.

To print or not to print that is the question

So I had a talk with my mother who is a very fine artist. By no means an illustrator. I thought it would be a good idea for her to have some prints made of her work to sell for cheaper than the originals. She had asked me an interesting question.... It is as follows - "If I make prints does that depreciate the value of the original?" I had no idea what to say. Some part of me said yes and other parts of me said no. What do you think?

The Book

Hello there. I just got a deal to illustrate a book for children. I am very excited to make the little finch in it come alive. I have been having a lot of issues with my purpose in life. sometimes I feel like I am on the right track and it is going to be long and other times I feel like I have no idea what I am doing and how I am going to get this done. I geuss that is the struggle of an artist. I know someday I will no longer be a graphic designer and I will be able to be a full time illustrator. I just hope it happens soon because I have no idea how much more of this I can take.
